The Virtues Project

The Virtues Project surrounds everything we do. It offers a simple moral structure which teachers and parents can model and within which children build character  and self-esteem.  It is no substitute for love, hugs, and family giggles.  It is a tool for parents and teachers to use in guiding and teaching children.

Positive role modeling of these virtues is key to character development in children.  The language of this project encourages children to find the virtues within themselves and use them as they interact with their world.

As they work together, adults and children are asked to explore and demonstrate:

Patience
Generosity
Assertiveness

Honesty
Love
Orderliness

Respect
Courtesy
Flexibility

Gentleness
Trust
Tolerance

These are just a few of the virtues that build strong character.
